Rakar is one of the last remaining full-service manufacturing companies including, engineering, design, fabrication, prototyping, assembly, testing, as well as metal and plastic manufacturing services under one roof. In 2020, we have expanded our Engineering and Tooling Department adding a second 7,000 sq. ft. facility known as RAKAR AKKT in Camarillo, CA less than 10 miles southeast of our Headquarters.
Our complete in-house tooling department serves as a critical division here at Rakar, we remain one of the last remaining full-service manufacturing companies with an independently working Engineering and Tooling Design Division. We have come to be regarded as the mold design and EDM experts in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.

Tooling Repair and Maintenance
Part of our success here at Rakar is due to our Complete In-House Tooling Department. During production, ALL of our molded parts are continually checked throughout the molding process. This in-process testing ensures that quality, durability, and tolerance are never compromised. If the parts are rejected from our Quality Assurance Department and it is found that repairs need to be made to the mold, we can utilize our tooling department to quickly made the necessary modification. Often, we can keep the machine "hot" while the repairs are being made, and keep your parts into production.

At Rakar, we take care of YOUR tools like our own. We implement regular maintenance programs and tool storage to ensure your tools are preserved at the highest possible quality standards. We strive to keep your tools in as good a condition. Many times the condition of the tooling transferred from another location to Rakar is not optimal. We take the time to repair, maintain, and store your tooling. Often, when the job is completed, we return the tooling in better condition than when originally received.
Mold Transfer and Takeover
We offer complimentary, no-obligation quotes for all mold takeovers. When other manufacturers can not successfully mold your job, you can trust Rakar to offer solutions & effectively transfer your mold with little downtime. When the tooling is received at Rakar, we identify and correct any quality deficiencies as early as possible. Any necessary modifications are documented and made by our team of experienced engineers as quickly as possible & the first article samples & reports are always sent for approval before the mold is put into production.
